X° Congreso Panamericano de Iluminación

Luxamerica is the name chosen to designate a bi- annual conference, which is made in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Peru or Uruguay and that meets together the main continental lighting experts and specialist.

In the last years, the lighting field had seen the irruption of a new kind of professionals, mainly coming from the architecture and design world, whom had complemented the way we face the technical and perceptual requirements of the architectural lighting design. This kind of professional understands the roll played by the light in architecture, and interior design and has the experience and knowledge of the equipments and lighting systems, which enable them to strongly contribute to the projects goals.

Luxamerica 2010 appears with the intention to open wide beyond their traditional audience, recognizing and embracing the contribution that this new kind of professionals are doing to the Illumination field.
Luxamerica then, becomes a place of exchange and integration for those that participate in this field from the scientific research and engineering world and those coming from design and architectural world.

From this perspective, Luxamerica X shall be held in the city of Valparaiso, Chile, the year 2010 in October 20th, 21st and 22nd, under the motto “LIGHT, DESIGN AND ENERGY”.
